Welcome to Escarpment Pomeranians

We are excited to launch Escarpment Pomeranians. We hope to find the perfect pup for you and make the transition from our loving home to yours as easy as possible.

We are located in an urban setting and boast a large backyard with plenty of space for outdoor play. Our dogs are raised in our home with plenty of opportunity for socialization with other dogs and humans.

With our beloved Chocolate Lab, Shaka, entering his golden years and our kids in University and high school, my husband and I wondered if our empty nest years would be truly empty. Then Obi-Wan Kenobi entered our world! We knew that our youngest son was about to have his two older siblings leave the nest and that he always wanted his own small dog. We were proud of how he handled online learning and started searching for a new pup (yes, during Covid lockdown). It was amazing how all of the pieces fit together just when we thought we might give up. We were so very fortunate to bring Obi home with us. This fluffball of energy immediately stole our hearts with his feisty personality, not to mention oodles of cuddle-time! Shaka is 13 years old and going strong. We believe having a little companion has helped to keep Shaka youthful.

I had always admired the Breeders we went to for Shaka and Obi and I wondered if the breeding life would be a life for us. I am a qualified teacher who has lived in 4 countries, 3 continents and 4 Canadian provinces. During non pandemic times I am a Scientists in School Classroom Presenter and during the past 2 years I have been supply teaching at 2 fabulous private schools. I have always appreciated a flexible schedule and have prepared for this season in earnest.

Escarpment Pomeranians is starting out with one breeding pair carefully selected from a retiring expert at Pikkinokka Kennels. I am forever grateful for Til's mentorship and trust in my abilities.
